Default When are we getting a Polymock pvp areana(s) on the battle aysles?

Virtually every campaign/expansion has added atleast something to pvp, except GWEN! Which is a shame because polymock offers the perfect opportunity to do so.

Concidering they added hero battles, which (from what ive heard from the majority) was a complete disaster then why not something which actually has a lot more potential.

I also know that i've made threads saying polymock is rubbish, boring and tedious and it is.. in pve! But in pvp it could be a lot more enjoyable.

So when are we getting Poly PvP? It must be coming.... it just makes sense from a marketting perspective to add life to the game.

All they need do is add a one or more polymock areans to the pvp island for either 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, etc etc etc! Then people can pick teams, make tactics and then maybe add a polymock title which will have pve benefits.

Imagine having a 4v4 or 8v8 polymock battle as varied creatures!

Not only does it pro-long the game, it also gives more reason to collect polymock pieces, to trade polymock pieces and maybe for Anet to add new polymock pieces.

2) A more clear idea...
  • Add a 1v1 and 8v8 (or 4v4) polymock areana to the pvp island.
  • The 1v1 is your basic polymock that we already have but human v human.
  • The 8v8 (or 4v4) is a larger map and may involve capture the flag, king of the hill or basic deathmatch style fighting.
  • Polymock pieces are unlocked using balth faction from the existing rewards NPC, and tougher pieces obviously cost more faction.
  • You get a very simply interface at the start of each match to choose a polymock piece (only unlocked ones). If you dont choose within 20 seconds its automatically done for you.
  • Earn Asuran points as you go maybe?

I would have said try a 16v16 (alliance battle style) but maybe thats too big!

I think this would really add something new and different to pvp. Imagine taking a 8 man team of

There ya are. On a sidenote, HB also has alot of potential but is a disaster because Anet couldn't give a damn. What makes you think they'd keep PvP polymock interesting with updates?

Yes the three campaigns added to PvP, if you count AB and HB as real PvP.

The ONLY expansion is GWEN and it DID NOT add to PvP, as you stated, are there other expansions no one else knows about?

It would be fun but I rather have a RA with a randomizer for the skills i get each match. Totally random every time

Side note I would suck since I have been stuck at gads encampment since GWEN was released (just waiting for a gold polymock pc to drop for me)

Ive played some Polymock and I think it would be fun for 1v1 pvp matches...you know if it didnt suck and wasnt boring.

Well the current problem is, we were excited about Polymocks when its information was first released. Now we are getting bored, even the people who liked it. And so why? The primary reason is the rewards are horrible from playing Polymocks. You will no longer gain any Asura reputation points once you reach rank 8 in Asura title. Also, the normal reward itself isn't very motivating to keep players attached to the game itself. Together, it concludes the end of enjoyment of Polymock.

At this point, it seems there's a need to make a PvP system of Polymock to renew this game once again. However, the current situation is, Guild Wars is coming to an end. The only chance to see such idea to be implemented is in Guild Wars 2. So be patience.

Um, isn't the basis of PvP to have a better skill set, weapon set, armor set, and know how to use them? Polymock gives you no choice on skills/armor/weapons, just what pieces to use. Same for things like Dwarven Boxing - no choices to be made.

We won't see it. GW:EN is "just a crappy expansion" and so they didn't feel the need to do sensible things like give a character slot or add any pvp.

I don't think this would work, based on ANets handling of certain PvP areas in the past (HA, Heroes Battles)

HB isn't real pvp in my opinion, but it has not shown too much potential in the way it's been handled.

Yeah, Polymock, Norn tournaments, Devourer+Junundu arenas,

Of course, just as they are in PvE they can't be added.

Polymock could be done in teams of two.
People would have to decide in which player to focus their attacks and such.

The Norn tournaments could be in the King of Fighters way instead of the Street Fighter way.
Teams of 3 players than enter and fight separately.

And the Dwarven brwaling could be made in parties of 8 vs 8.

They would need a bit of rework, but the data is there.
